Biography

Julia has been dancing since a young age, starting with musical classes where dance and vocals were combined. Here, she got in touch with styles like Jazz and Contemporary. Once she decided to leave her hometown Nijmegen to train at Touchée Dance Company in the crew World of Afro by Precious Alvares, dance became more than a passion. From that point, she developed a strong preference for African dance styles and has been training in them ever since. Within WOA, she made her debut on several stages and competitions, eventually earning a traineeship with Precious to teach classes for kids, students, and adults in African dance styles. In the meantime, she has continued to refine her own craft through training in house and hip-hop styles. Currently, Julia is developing her unique style while teaching in both Nijmegen, Utrecht, and throughout the Netherlands.
